Ram Rye Whiskey

To die-hard Rams and alumni alike, the infamous “Ram Rye Whiskey” is more than just a drink. It’s a drink symbolizing the official moment of celebration upon defeating any school who dares f*ck with Ryerson.

Earliest uses date back to the 1960′s during the “ramnapping” period where U of T would constantly attempt to kidnap our beloved Eggy, jealous of his good looks and attention from beautiful Ryerson ladies, as well as the effect he had on the student population. He lifted spirits of every group, motivating them to emerge victorious in challenges against U of T and in events both within and outside of the classroom. After protecting Eggy from these lowlifes, the students would toast to our superiority over U of T in every which way.

Ingredients:

2  oz Scotch Whisky (Preferred: Ballantines, Johnnie Walker Black Label or Red Label)
1/2  tsp Triple Sec (Preferred: Grand Mariner)
1/4  tsp fine sugar
2  dashes of bitters
1 twist lemon peel

 Directions:

1) In a shaker half-filled with ice  cubes, combine the scotch, triple sec, sugar, and bitters.
2) Shake well.
3) Strain  into a scotch glass and garnish with a lemon twist (some Rams like it on the rocks).
4) Toast and salute your comrades to celebrate anything and everything Ryerson. Great for after Midterms and Finals and any sporting victory. Goes well with a Monte Cristo cigar.
